40 YEARS OF EXPERTISE
Proven through over 40 years of experience and expertise building over 1000 yachts and with more than 350 of these designed in partnership with Humphreys Yacht Design over the last 20 years, Oyster’s new boat team has a deep knowledge second to none. Complemented by its specialists who have completed demanding custom and refit projects ranging from the J-Class Velsheda to modern classics and lightweight race yachts, Oyster DNA is also defined by long-lasting relationships with leading industry partners and suppliers.
BETTER BY DESIGN
However important the latest styling feature may be, the demands of the sea never change. Oyster’s design team ensure that behind the handcrafted furniture and inside the solidly built hull, there lies a harmony of technology, systems and equipment to provide a quiet, reliable, comfortable home from home.
It can take a long time between the first conversation and finding the time away from business life to enjoy sailing off in your new Oyster. We help you personally with all stages managed directly with Oyster staff. After the contract has been completed and whilst waiting for build to start, a dedicated project manager will start to help you through the choices you can make. Working closely with you right through to handover, he or she will ensure you enjoy this as much as sailing your yacht.
A long serving team of skillful shipwrights and engineers in two shipyards are proud of Oyster’s British history. Recognising Oyster as the leading and most successful British shipyard of series-built yachts, clients from around the world value this heritage.
SOLIDITY AND STABILITY
In every sense of the words, solidity and stability are guaranteed with Oyster – both in the yachts and within the Company. With many husband and wife teams and with many employees now counting more than 20 years working for Oyster, the team is unique. More than 40 years served by the executive team alone brings wise and clear decision making in to the business, ensuring the value of your investment in Oyster is maintained.
